SADA welcomes Golden North establishment at Murray Bridge
The South Australian Dairyfarmers' Association (SADA) today welcomes the announcement by Golden North which is seen as securing the company's future and building a great foundation for its further growth.
Golden North is an iconic South Australia dairy industry brand and has been the go-to for premium ice cream for generations both in Adelaide and across the State. From humble beginnings in the state's mid-north it has become a sought after brand by consumers in many domestic and international markets.
The move of Golden North to Murray Bridge will position it well for further expansion. In so doing it will also provide the broader dairy industry with a longer shelf life product to complement the white milk, flavoured milks, yoghurts and cheeses that allow local consumers to Do Dairy and Support SA.
"This is a great step forward for Golden North and for the entire South Australian dairy industry after what has been a very challenging period for many dairy farmers" said Robert Brokenshire, SA Dairyfarmers' Association president.
"As dairy farmers, we look forward to the development which this move signals and the industry stability that an expanded Golden North can support for our industry"
