SA Donated Fodder Transport Drought Assistance Scheme
The SA Donated Fodder Transport Drought Assistance Scheme contributes to the freight cost of charitable organisations that are delivering fodder to primary producers to help them feed livestock in drought-impacted areas of the state.
An additional $4 million has been added to this scheme from the drought support package, bringing the total to $6 million.
PIRSA continues to work with charities to target fodder to farmers in greatest need.
Information for farmers
The following charitable organisations supporting SA farmers with donated fodder have been approved for subsidies under the scheme:
- Rural Aid
- Need for Feed
- Farmers Relief Agency
- Rapid Relief Team
- South Australian Dairyfarmers Association – for dairy farmers only.
Primary producers in SA can register with any organisation delivering donated fodder in their region, noting that SADA is only available to assist dairy farmers. Some organisations will decide which regions to deliver to, based on expressions of interest.
Contact the organisations directly via their webpages or social media to find out about the fodder products and services provided, and to register for deliveries.
